Building an effective team requires establishing expectations for each team member. In this regard, I will utilize my vast leadership experiences from multi-national corporations and multi-generational organizations, to establish specific goals and objectives for all District Committees. These actions will be in collaboration with the Committee Chairman and consistent with my vision as the District Representative.
Establishing leadership that is accountable is critical to our continued success. Implementing participation and reporting metrics will provide me as the District Representative and the Brothers a complete accounting of the work of our District committee chairs. I will establish quarterly reporting requirements through the Fist Vice District Representative, for committee chair, and post these reports on the District website. Also working through the First Vice, we will initiate a review of the District committees and recommend modifications as necessary for increased fiscal control.
Strengthening the relationships and mentoring between graduate and undergraduate chapters is critical to our survival as an organization. I will collaborate with the Second Vice District Representative, the Undergraduate Representatives, Advisors and chapter Basilei for ways to strengthen our Undergraduate Assistance Program.
Mentoring is a critical part of Omega’s DNA. We must increase our multi-generational dialogue across our District to mitigate generational tensions. This could help to reduce conflict on such hot button issues like a Brother's "process."
In partnership with the Chapters, I want to forge new pathways to building productive, efficient, measurable and sustainable partnerships between the District, and the communities we serve. I want to leverage our Social Action work to create formal partnerships with the business community and the leading non-profit organizations in the Second District.
Brothers, the Second District is “Omega’s”cradle of leadership and innovation”. I ask for your vote and support to build on this legacy of sustainable and accountable and innovative leadership.
